The Sanskrit word for Kashmir was कश्मीर (káśmīra). The Nilamata Purana describes the Valley's origin from the waters, a lake called Sati-saras. A popular local etymology of Kashmira is that it is land desiccated from water. An alternative etymology concerns the sage Kashyapa, who is believed to have settled people in this land. Accordingly, Kashmir is derived from either Kashyapa Mir (the lake of Kashyapa) or Kashyapa Meru (the mountain of Kashyapa).

After B/F full day excursion to Gulmarg (App. 60 Kms/02 Hrs), Arrive Gulmarg, Enjoy Gondola Ride & Horse Riding (Self Expense), Lunch (Pack Lunch), Evening back to Srinagar, Dinner.

Day - 4

After B/F check out the Hotel, Local sight seen, Visit different Gardens, Afternoon check into a House Boat, Lunch, Evening enjoy Shikara ride at Dal lake – The cost will be bare by the company – 4 Pax in each Shikara, Dinner.

After B/F start for Pahalgam Situated on 5700 ft. height, On the bank of Lider River (App.100 Kms/03 Hrs), Arrive Pahalgam, Check into the Hotel, Lunch, Rest of the day free for leisure, Dinner
